The Third Avenue BID, in partnership with various organizations, has helped produce summer festivals annually for decades.
The 3rd Ave Street Festival, for example, drew in over 1,000 people to 3rd Avenue, and featured dozens of vendors and performers! The Festival featured performances from various artists, celebrating the district's history and culture.
Our annual Back to School Festival celebrates our community and the value of education, by providing over 5,000 young people and families with free bookbags, school supplies, books and gift cards. Our festival includes over dozens of vendors, and various family friendly activities such as face painting, bouncy houses, carnival games, a live DJ and many more.
Our annual Winterfest Wonderland is a celebration for the whole family!
Every year, we transform Roberto Clemente Plaza or Westchester Avenue into a Winter Wonderland to celebrate the Holidays and give back to our Bronx community. Winterfest features a Christmas tree lighting, free picture with Santa, free toy giveaway, live salsa band performance, free Holiday shuttle free ornament making activities, free letter to Santa stations, live Christmas carolers, free hot chocolate and many more.

In partnership with DOT, we have provided our Bronx community with various events throughout the year!
Open Streets are a fun way to reimagine the use of streets as public space. More importantly, our events highlight local businesses and neighborhood resources, by partnering with community stakeholders to provide community members with free informational services and locally sourced materials.
One of the BID’s primary goals is to address barriers facing our local small business owners. As such, we work closely with the NYC Department of Small Business Services to connect entrepreneurs to various free resources including, but not limited to, financial assistance, workforce development, legal assistance, licensing, navigating government, emergency response, and more!
The BID works closely with local artists, including muralists and musicians, to bring the arts to the HUB as frequently as possible. If you are a local artist and want to explore opportunities to bring and art/cultural events to the HUB, please contact us.
